Quickdraw is a mechanic introduced in Showdown in the Badlands. Cards with Quickdraw have additional effects that trigger if it is played the same turn it was added to the player's hand.

- Quickdraw is triggered in any of the following scenarios when the card is:
- Drawn
- Randomly generated or Discovered
- Returned to hand
- Stolen or replaced into the hand
- Quickdraw only activates if the card is played from hand.
- Quickdraw is a seperate effect from Battlecries unless otherwise stated.
- If a card has both a Battlecry and a Quickdraw effect, and the Quickdraw effect uses the word "instead", the Battlecry can be thought of as being modified by the Quickdraw effect. As such, cards that interact with Battlecries (such as
Brann Bronzebeard) take effect for these cards.[1] - If a Quickdraw effect does not use the word "instead", the Quickdraw is considered its own effect, and isn't affected by Battlecry-related cards.[1]
- If a card has both a Battlecry and a Quickdraw effect, and the Quickdraw effect uses the word "instead", the Battlecry can be thought of as being modified by the Quickdraw effect. As such, cards that interact with Battlecries (such as
- Quickdraw spells that are cast by other cards will not trigger their Quickdraw effects.
- Cards in the starting hand do not trigger Quickdraw effects, but cards mulliganed into by the player going first can trigger their Quickdraw effect if played on the first turn.[2]
