Swap effects

Swap effects is an ability on cards that lets them swap between two or more versions of their card text.

Notes

• Cards that swap their effects usually have a triggered effect that denotes when their effects are swapped.
• Effect swaps are different from transform (and transform in hand) effects in the way that no new card is generated. The original card itself changes its effects.
  • This is the same for hero powers and other cards that say "Swaps each turn". These cards generate a new card in their place, instead of changing the original card's text.
• Effect swaps are also different from upgradable cards in the way that their effects don't simply change for the better.
  • Effect swaps also usually only have a limited amount of forms (often 2), whereas upgradable cards can usually be upgraded indefinitely.
