Put on deck is the unofficial term for a mechanic that allows the player to manipulate the positions of cards in their deck, or add cards to decks without shuffling it in the progress.
Putting cards on the deck is one of the main themes in Voyage to the Sunken City with the Azsharan/Sunken card cycle.
Notes[edit | edit source]
- The most common put on deck effects are ones that put a card on the top or bottom of the deck, such as Dredge. Some effects, like that of Lorekeeper Polkelt, are capable of sorting the cards in a certain order.
- Madam Goya was the first collectible card to use the mechanic of putting a card into a deck without shuffling in the progress. Sightless Watcher was the first card to manipulate the positions of cards in the deck.
- Putting a card on the deck does not shuffle it in the process.
- If there are multiple cards with the same requirements to sort, their position in the deck will be decided randomly.
- For example: If there are 2 or more cards with 2-Cost, Lorekeeper Polkelt will place these 2-Cost cards randomly.
Cards that put cards on deck[edit | edit source]
