- This is a two-stage battle. At the first stage the player has to lower Akama's health to 15 or less; at the second stage - to survive for 4 enemy turns.
- The player always gets
Eye Beam, 
Parasitic Shadowfiend, 
Spectral Sight on mulligan.
- These cards can be replaced with Stolen Vengeance,
Acrobatics, Skull of Gul'dan. The replacement takes place from left to right (i.e., if the player replaced one card, they will receive Stolen Vengeance regardless of whether Eye Beam or Spectral Sight was replaced).

- The player always draws the cards on first eleven turns in the next order:
- Turn 2 - Felscream Blast
- Turn 3 -
Chaos Strike - Turn 4 - Parasitic Shadowfiend
- Turn 5 - Acrobatics
- Turn 6 - Il'gynoth
- Turn 7 - Skull of Gul'dan
- Turn 8 - Flame Crash
- Turn 9 - Summon Shadow Demons
- Turn 10 - Mo'arg Artificer
- Turn 11 - Summon Shadow Demons
- If the player draws another card per turn, the next card in the list will be drawn. Further cards drawn on this turn will be random.
- If the player has drawn more than one card per turn, a random one will be drawn on the next turn.
- Turn 2 -
- When Akama's Health is 15 or less, the second phase of the battle begins. After that:
- Akama is replaced by Maiev Shadowsong.
- Nightblade and four Huntresses appear on the board
- Maiev Shadowsong gets a new deck of 30 cards and draws the cards.
- If the first stage has ended with Akama at 1-15 Health, Maiev will draw so cards that their quantity in hand will be equal to 9.
- If Akama's Health was 0 or below, Maiev will draw 4 cards.
- All minions' triggers are queuing and resolving.

This section uses content from the Warcraft Wiki.- The elder sage Akama is the leader of both the Ashtongue tribe and the elite of said tribe, the Ashtongue Deathsworn, a faction of Broken draenei supposedly in the service of Illidan Stormrage. Offered a chance at revenge against the orcs who decimated his people, Akama allied himself with the night elf/demon hybrid and aided in the overthrow of Magtheridon, only to later find that Illidan was no better than the pit lord. To all outward appearances, Akama remained a loyal servant of Illidan and led his Ashtongue Deathsworn in his service — but away from his prying eyes, Akama sought to end Illidan's reign.
- Allying with Maiev Shadowsong, whom he had been charged with keeping imprisoned, Akama rallied a group of adventurers to enter the Black Temple, leading up to the final battle with Illidan himself — the battle that ended the Betrayer's life. With Illidan gone, Akama hopes that the Holy Light will fill the dismal halls of the Temple once more...
