With the arrival of the Year of the Gryphon, Demon Hunter Initiate is now a Wild format card set, which means cards from the Demon Hunter Initiate will no longer be playable in Standard format matches. For more information, see Game format.

Demon Hunter Initiate is a special card set, available for collecting on April 2, 2020 and released on April 7, when also Ashes of Outland launched. This set is made exclusively of demon hunter cards, allowing them to catch up to the other classes in Standard format at the time of their release.

For the purpose of rotation, the Demon Hunter Initiate set is considered part of the Year of the Dragon.[1][2]

How to get[edit | edit source]

The Demon Hunter Initiate set is unlocked for free after unlocking the Demon Hunter class. Regular copies cannot be crafted or disenchanted, but golden copies can be crafted once the regular set has been obtained.

Cards[edit | edit source]

The Demon Hunter Initiate set contains 20 collectible cards, all of which belong to the demon hunter class.

Demon Hunter Initiate cards can be recognized with special watermark (an Illidari tattoo) not found on other cards.
