Protector is a Role in Mercenaries. Its internal name is TANK
. Protector is depicted by red color and a shield-like icon.
Protectors take double damage from Mercenaries/Casters and deal double damage to Mercenaries/Fighters.
Most protector mercenaries tend to have abilities that protects other members in the Mercenaries/Party and keep them alive, mainly by gaining Taunt to force enemies to Attack it. Some protectors can have healing abilities or disrupting ones that prevent enemies from using dangerous and impactful abilities.
