The Battlegrounds Track is a system in Battlegrounds that allows the player to earn various rewards in Battlegrounds by earning XP and leveling up. The Battlegrounds Track resets every Battlegrounds Season, typically in the X.2 patches.[1]

The Battlegrounds Track was added in Patch 24.2.0.148211, along with new Battlegrounds Missions and the Battlegrounds Season Pass associated with it.

The Battlegrounds Track and Missions can be viewed by clicking on the "Season Rewards" icon in the Battlegrounds menu.

Ways to earn XP, in-game tip

Battlegrounds XP (BattlegroundsXp.png) is an essential resource for leveling up in the Battlegrounds Track. Each level requires a pre-determined amount of XP to be reached. There are a total of 2 ways to earn Battlegrounds XP:

  • Winning Battlegrounds games (top 4)
  • Completing Battlegrounds Missions

Reward structure[edit | edit source]

  • Levels - Battlegrounds Track consists of 40 levels. Each level requires a certain amount of Battlegrounds XP, but also has an one-time reward for the player, as long as they reach that level. The Battlegrounds Track has two main reward types: Free Rewards and Paid Rewards. Both rewards use the same track.
  • Functionality - The system will remark the reward with a blue glow to inform the player that it can be claimed. Then, the player needs to click or tap on it to confirm and claim it. If there is no blue glow, the player is still able to click or tap on it, but to view details of the reward.
    • The system allows the player to view 4 levels at once and will mark the current level's range as default view. To navigate the adjacent sides of the Battlegrounds Track, the player can click on the arrow icons at the bottom of scene or swipe on mobile.
  • Resets Next Season - The Battlegrounds Track refreshes the player's current progress after the next Battlegrounds Season is released. However, all the rewards will also be replaced with new ones, allowing the player to reach the levels again to get the new resources. All players will automatically be granted any unclaimed rewards in the old track if they have not done so.

Free rewards[edit | edit source]

Free rewards are marked with a "FREE" text.

The free rewards usually include Rare Emotes, Rare hero skins, Rare Strikes, and one Legendary hero skin.

[edit | edit source]

Paid rewards are marked with a lock symbol. They are not available to players by default, and can only be unlocked by purchasing the Battlegrounds Season Pass, which costs real money or Runestones.

The most crucial reward granted by the Season Pass is the ability to select between 4 heroes at the start of a match, instead of just 2. This reward is granted immediately, at level 1. Other paid rewrads include boards, strikes, emotes, and hero skins of varying qualities.

Since both the Free and Paid rewards use the same level progress, if the player is in the middle of a certain level, after purchasing the Season Pass, the player will be able to claim all previous levels' Paid rewards immediately.
