Collection manager
- For the regular collection manager used for constructed, see Collection manager.
The collection manager, also known as the collection, is where a player can go to view their Battlegrounds collection of heroes, bartenders, boards, strikes, and emotes. It is accessed from the Battlegrounds menu by clicking the Collection button, found at the left side of the menu.
Functionality[edit | edit source]
As the Battlegrounds collection is not as in-depth as the constructed collection, its collection manager has fewer elements to it. Mainly, there is no crafting or decks (except for the deck-like visualization of the player's choice of emotes), so the options for what the player can do in the collection manager are more limited.
What sets the Battlegrounds collection manager apart from its constructed counterpart the most is that it is composed entirely of cosmetics. The available minions present during gameplay cannot be viewed in the collection.
By default, only unlocked heroes are displayed, while unlocked and locked cosmetics for all other types are displayed at the same time.
Search[edit | edit source]
A text search field at the bottom of the collection manager screen allows players to filter their collection, either by the item's name, or in some cases its description.
Heroes and bartenders can be searched by name only; searching for the names of their hero powers or flavor text will yield no results. Other types of cosmetics can be searched for by their name or description.
The following search functions are available in the Battlegrounds collection manager:
Query | Syntax | Notes |
---|---|---|
New | new | Lists only newly acquired cosmetics (those not yet moused over). |
Missing | missing | Lists only cosmetics the player does not own. |
Unlike the constructed collection manager, the Battlegrounds collection manager does not support the artist:<name>
search function.
Heroes[edit | edit source]
The "Heroes" tab presents the player with their currently owned basic hero portraits and hero skins. Clicking on the "Show All" button on the top-right allows all heroes and skins to be viewed, regardless of whether they are locked or not.
Clicking on a hero brings it up, showing a closer look at its artwork, as well as its Hero Power and flavor text. If a skin is not favorited, a "Make favorite" button will appear on the bottom of the screen, allowing that skin to be set as favorite. Favorited skins will be used in place of the default portrait of the hero whenever the player uses that hero in a match.
Bartenders[edit | edit source]
- Main article: Bartender
The "Bartenders" tab presents the player with their currently owned and locked bartenders.
Clicking on a bartender brings it up, showing a closer look at its artwork and a flavor text. Bartenders are fully voiced characters that can be favorited like hero skins, and they will appear in place of Bartender Bob during a match.
Boards[edit | edit source]
- Main article: Board
The "Boards" tab presents the player with their currently owned and locked boards.
Clicking on a board brings it up, showing a closer look at how it's presented during a game, as well as a description. Boards change the look of the battlefield during the Combat phase and the look of Bob's Tavern during the Recruit phase.
Strikes[edit | edit source]
- Main article: Strike
The "Strikes" tab presents the player with their currently owned and locked strikes.
Clicking on a strike brings it up, showing a video of how the strike performs during a match. Strikes are special attack animations during the Combat phase, that have two different forms depending on how much attack the Hero has.
Emotes[edit | edit source]
- Main article: Emote
The "Emotes" tab presents the player with their currently owned and locked emotes.
Clicking on an emote brings it up, showing a closer look as well as a description. Emotes are visualized versions of the regular emotes seen in constructed. Instead of a voiced paragraph, emotes in Battlegrounds are an animated image of a character.
Like in constructed, heroes in Battlegrounds can have 6 selectable emotes. However, there is a special "Emote Deck" function in Battlegrounds, where the choice of emotes can be customized. Emotes can be dragged to the right side of the collection to the Emote Deck, and those emotes can be used during a match. The bottom-right also has a "Preview" button, where the player can view what their current Emote Deck will look like when viewed in-game.
