History
Spectral Pillager was a part of rogue decks in Wild that aimed to do quick OTKs with the help of cards like 
Scabbs Cutterbutter and 
Spirit of the Shark. This type of deck was highly consistent at higher ranks, where being killed by a pair of Spectral Pillagers on turns 4-6 was common. This caused Spectral Pillager to be reworked entirely, no longer allowing it to deal damage to the enemy hero at all. This effectively invalidated the combo, however it is still possible to do by utilizing 
Silas Darkmoon and 
Soulbound Ashtongue.
