Lore

Avatar of Hearthstone is original to Hearthstone. It is a giant golem representing Hearthstone itself. Its torso is the Hearthstone game board seen in the main menu, its head is an actual Hearthstone, and Hearthstone cards can be seen orbiting its arms and legs.

Trivia

  • Avatar of Hearthstone's card ID, WON_145, indicates it was perhaps originally planned to be released in the Caverns of Time set. All new cards in Caverns of Time also have an ID that starts with WON_ (short for Wonders, one of Twist's formats). This is further supported by the artwork itself being in a desert-like setting with wild Silithid flying around, indicating that it's depicted in Silithus, where the story of Caverns of Time takes place.
  • Avatar of Hearthstone reuses the entrance music of  Zerek, Master Cloner.
