How to get Zayle

I noticed you were last to edit Zayle, Shadow Cloak and I was wondering if you knew how to add a new line in the "how to get" box?

Golden Zayle is acquired by completing Dalaran Heist as mentioned at https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/227323 which might be listed as a reference.

Asvedon, the Grandshield

Watched a Roffle stream and a warrior played this right after evenDruid played questline from inside his ETC but it didn't copy the questline, might be a bug with the card, should we note it? Tycio (talk) 22:45, 17 April 2023 (UTC)

Was also wondering if we see the 'sound' section missing for a card what steps we should take to try and find and incorporate that audio, like I was curious about Pandaren Importer's sounds but I don't know the equivalent of "|article_soundsCUSTOM_trigger=VO_REV_925_Female_Naga_Trigger_01.wav" for Basroness Vashj to use there. Pandaren Importer's sound section was hidden by accident. I cleaned up the article and it's working now. As for the Asvedon bug, "Known Bugs" sections aren't used anymore. But if that is an actual bug, after it's fixed, we can add a patch change mentioning that it has been fixed. VGhost01 (talk) 15:16, 18 April 2023 (UTC)

Card pack section idea

I don't see a section which talks about the unique benefits of buying certain card packs for the first time, do you think we can compile them in a section somewhere? I'm not sure what to call it or where to place it. Basically stuff like this:

1. first Goblins vs Gnmes no bonus?
2. first Grand Tournament no bonus?
3. first Whispers of the Old Gods gives a bonus C'Thun and two bonus Beckoner of Evil
4. first Mean Streets of Gadgetzan no bonus?
5. first Journey to Un'Goro no bonus?
6. first Knights of the Frozen Throne gives no bonus? but you can get a random Legendary hero card by doing the prologue for 300 gold i think
7. first Kobolds and Catacombs pack gives Marin the Fox as bonus
8. first Witchwood pack no bonus?
9. first Boomsday Project pack, no bonus? any idea how to get a Golden SN1P-SN4P ?
10. first Rastakhan's Rumble pack no bonus?
11. first Rise of Shadows pack no bonus? we could note about Zayle, Shadow Cloak being unobtainable by packs and needing to complete the single-player
12. first Saviors of Uldum pack no bonus?
13. first Descent of Dragons pack gives both Sathrovarr and Shield of Galakrond plus all five Galakrond hero cards as bonuses (probably the best deal)
14. first Ashes of Outland pack gives Kael'thas Sunstrider as bonus
15. first Scholomance Academy pack gives Transfer Student as bonus
16. first Madness at the Darkmoon Faire packs gives Silas Darkmoon as bonus
17. first Forged in the Barrens pack gives both Shadow Hunter Vol'jin and Mankrik as bonuses
18. first United in Stormwind pack gives both Flightmaster Dungar and Lady Prestor as bonuses
19. first Fractured in Alterac Valley pack no bonus?
20. first Voyage to the Sunken City pack gives Blademaster Okani as bonus
21. first Murder at Castle Nathria pack gives Prince Renathal as bonus
22. first March of the Lich King pack gives The Sunwell as bonus
23. first Festival of Legends pack gives no bonus?

Basically the idea would be to identify which of these are worth buying at least 1 of because of them giving bonus cards. Which seems to be in order of # of extra cards:

1. Descent of Dragons which gives 7 bonuses
2. Whispers which gives 3 bonuses
3. Forged and United which give 2 bonuses each
4. Kobolds / Ashes / Scholomance / Madness / Voyage / Murder / March which all give 1 bonus card each on 1st pack opening

This is a total of eleven packs (1100 gold) which in terms of building a library seem like they'd be the best investments just for giving more gameplay options to new players. I don't know if I missed anything I was mainly looking at what shows up as 'uncraftable' in each of the releases. Tycio (talk) 17:30, 4 May 2023 (UTC)

Individual card rewards like those that can be obtained for free can be seen in the respective cards' articles. For example, Kael'thas Sunstrider mentions in its How to get section that it can be obtained from owning an AoO pack. If you want one comprehensive list, check Card set#Events. Yeah I just figured it'd be useful having a note about these special interactions in the card pack section, since it relates to the value gained from buying certain packs the first time. Much like how we note the higher chance of legendaries in first 10x. Tycio (talk) 07:49, 8 May 2023 (UTC)

Abyssal Curse missing cause

Do you know why Abyssal Wave isn't showing up in the "related with" section there? I'm only seeing Dragged Below and Sira'kess Cultist and Za'qul there but not the famous AE. Tycio (talk) 07:49, 8 May 2023 (UTC)

Deck Recipe outdated

Hi, I am trying to bring the Deck Recipe page up to date. I have added a section for Death Knight recipes however am unable to edit the title/link for existing recipes - Mystrygift

To edit the title and link, there's this section at the top of the deck recipe table:

Plague page

I visited Plague noticing this was a new keyword on some of the new Titans cards, and was wondering how we could disambiguage from this 6-mana boss spell.

Do you think perhaps making a Plagues overview explaining Unholy Plague and Frost Plague and Blood Plague are the three things referenced by Staff of the Primus and Distressed Kvaldir and Down with the Ship and Helya and Tomb Traitor and Chained Guardian ?

I know these show up under the Related with but seems like it couldn't hurt to have an overview, like if there is a discussion about plagues but not in respect to a known card to interact with them. Tycio (talk) 22:14, 26 July 2023 (UTC)

I'll add a disclaimer on the top of Plague's page. I don't think there is much that needs to be "explained" about the Plagues. They're pretty simple in their functionality, and all the related cards can be seen on the article of every Plague-related card. VGhost01 (talk) 08:46, 27 July 2023 (UTC)

Dreadlich and Transmogrifier

I was wondering if this would be useful as an example anywhere regarding how order of operations works.

Like in one turn I put a Transmogrifier on the board, then played Dreadlich Tamsin.

Even though the 3 damage reduced it to 0 health, it remained on the board while the 3 cards were being drawn and transformed them prior to the Transmogrifier dying.

I'm not sure the term but something to do with a battlecry being resolved prior to deaths being resolved? Tycio (talk) 21:25, 11 August 2023 (UTC)

Reska, the Pit Boss play sound quote

The quote for playing Reska, the Pit Boss should say "Take a good look! You ain't never seein' the light again." instead of "...seen the light again". They say it quickly, but it's seein' not seen. It's not showing up when I try to edit it. (SST Nov 21, 2023)

I've edited it. For future reference, you can send a voiceline transcript edit request by going to the visual editor (Click "Edit" on the top right), hit "Edit" again on the Template window, then scroll all the way down and you'll see the audio transcript sections. discovered-summoning elementals pool bugging

World Pillar Fragment mentions "uses these card pools to generate cards: Discovered-summoning Elementals" and links here but when I open it, I see a bunch of non-elementals, like it's mostly dragons. Not sure what's happening there. Same thing when the link is clicked from Maruut Stonebinder.

It seems v2 of the template has 2 criteria which autogenerates the link:

custom_mechanicTags=Discover&&Summon&&Generate

custom_refTags=Elemental-generating

But for whatever reason it's producing dragons not elementals. I saw you made the WPF article so hoped you'd have some insight.

I assumed since it's "discover" that the pool you select from would depend on what mode you're playing (standard or wild) and what class you're playing (can discover neutral or class-specific elementals) but haven't tested it extensively despite owning Maruut and various excavate cards. It seems like there's no full art for that skin yet. But we frequently monitor websites such as artstation to see when the artists post full art of their work, and as soon as the artist of that skin posts a full version, we will upload it to the wiki. :) VGhost01 (talk) 19:20, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
