Notes

- Counterspell will successfully counter Flare. The Counterspell will be consumed, but Flare will not take effect, will not destroy any other Secrets or remove Stealth from minions, and will not draw the player a card.
- Mana Bind will activate before Flare's effect. The Mana Bind triggers to give the opposing player a zero-mana Flare; after that the remaining secrets (if any) and stealthed minions will be affected by Flare and the casting player draws a card as normal.
Lore
Flare is a hunter ability from World of Warcraft which allows the hunter to fire a small flare into a targeted area. The flare remains for 20 seconds, during which time it will expose any hidden, stealthed or invisible targets within 10 yards. Although it has no destructive abilities, like in Hearthstone Flare is the bane of anyone relying on secrets and concealment, and is one of the only ways to counteract these effects.
Trivia
- The artwork for this card comes from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game "Worldbreaker" series, for the card Flare.
- Flare was a part of Patch 26.0.v3.final.final2.PR edit.FINAL, an April Fools 2023 prank, where keywords were announced to be removed to "make cards look more uniform and easier to understand."
