Lore
Arcane Intellect was a mage buff from World of Warcraft. It increased the target's intellect, the primary stat for all caster types, with the symbol shown on this card's illustration flashing briefly above the target's head as they were imbued with its power. It was a basic mage spell, best kept active at all times. With Cataclysm, Arcane Intellect was removed, with its near-identical equivalent Arcane Brilliance becoming the standard mage buff. Arcane Intellect was the only raid wide buff mages brought to the raid during classic World of Warcraft. The reagent which was originally needed for the higher levels of the buff was a major annoyance for the mages.
