- This minion's title Shellraiser is a play on the word hellraiser, meaning "A person who engages in wild, wanton behavior", otherwise known as "raising hell".
- This minion's flavor text is a reference to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, in which the titular turtles are described as "Heroes in a Half Shell".
