Template:How to get/Basic

This template is no longer usable from 2022.

This template lists the methods for obtaining old Basic cards. The template is suitable for both class-specific and non-class-specific Basic cards, whether given automatically or earned by leveling. It does not apply to cards of other sets, such as Classic cards.

Due to Basic set being removed after Year of the Gryphon's rotation, this template is served for historical purposes.

Usage

Note: The template functions a little differently for class-specific basic cards which are not available from level 1, but rather are given as rewards - see fourth argument.

This template has one required argument:

• class = the class to which the golden version of this card will be rewarded, eg 'shaman'

The second and third arguments are optional, but should always be included if possible. |golden is listed before |golden2 and so should always be the lower number.

• golden = the level at which the first golden version of this card will be rewarded, eg '46'
• golden2 = the level at which the second golden version of this card will be rewarded, eg '48'

There is a fourth optional argument, used only for class-specific basic cards rewarded for leveling rather than being accessible automatically.

• regular = the level at which the regular version of this card will be rewarded (to the specified class), eg '8'

A fifth optional argument allows for pages like Charge where the page title does not exactly match the card's name.

• name = the name of the card

Examples

• Two copies of How to get/Basic were automatically included in all players' collections upon unlocking the mage class.
