Template:Darkest Hour strategy

Darkest Hour is heavily dependent on setup and deck building, but powerful when done so, trading in small minions for much bigger ones when done so. Warlocks have spells that generate lots of small token minions like  Fiendish Circle and especially  Rafaam's Scheme to make the combo more practical to pull off.  Galakrond, the Wretched is another option, since he can Invoke many Imps onto the board. Some high-cost minions to exploit with this card include  Batterhead,  Evasive Wyrm,  Evasive Drakonid,  Enhanced Dreadlord,  Ysera,  Big Bad Archmage, and  Scrapyard Colossus.

This card is much more powerful in Wild, with access to  Bloodbloom to play the card for 2 mana cheaper, as well as access to more powerful high-cost cards ( Voidlord,  Charged Devilsaur,  Mal'Ganis,  Ragnaros the Firelord to name a few) plus  Nerubian Unraveler to tech against board clear spells.

This template contains Strategy content for these cards.
