Trivia[edit | edit source]
- According to Senior Game Designer Peter Whalen, the reason behind designing Dendrologist with a Discover ability was to prevent Treant-themed druid decks from feeling dull. When Blizzard was trying out the deck very early on in initial design, they found that it was somewhat boring to have a bunch of 2/2 minions without card text or special abilities, and they needed a way to spice up the deck and make it more exciting.[1]
- Dendrologist's flavor text is a reference to the Marvel Comics character Groot and his catchphrase "I am Groot".
