Mediocre on their own, the combination of a weapon and summoned minions provide an excellent play for turn 3, or turn 2 with 
The Coin. The flood of recruits provides a great synergy with 
Knife Juggler, 
Avenge and Sea Giant, and they themselves can be further buffed with minions such as 
Lightfused Stegodon, 
Quartermaster or 
Steward of Darkshire. Muster for Battle is an excellent card choice for any aggro or midrange focused Paladin deck, particularly ones focused on Silver Hand Recruit synergy or 
Baku the Mooneater.
