Template:Hench-Clan Thug strategy

A very effective card when combined with setup from cheap weapons such as  Candleshot or the daggers from  Dagger Mastery, this card can provide a very good 4/4 body on turn 3, with the potential to grow even larger. You can also equip  Doomhammer,  Fool's Bane, or  Warglaives of Azzinoth to power Hench-Clan Thug up quickly.

This minion's strong synergy with weapons makes it perfect for an aggressive rogue or demon hunter deck. If you have Hench Clan Thug in your opening hand as rogue, it's often a good idea to use your Hero Power on turn two so you can almost guarantee the buff. Demon hunters can wait until turn 4 to buff the card immediately, or combine it on curve with an equipped  Umberwing. This also makes Hench Clan Thug powerful in combination with  Baku the Mooneater.

If you suspect your opponent is holding a Hench Clan Thug, it might be a good idea to use  Acidic Swamp Ooze or other weapon removal right away if you have it, preventing them from buffing Hench Clan Thug early in the game.
