- This card's triggered effect appears to behave the same as Jeeves's. For notes, see Jeeves.
- Genzo's effect triggers on the "proposed attack" step in the attack sequence, the same step as Forgetful effects, a number of Secrets, and a few others. Therefore all such effects occur in order of play, before combat damage is dealt.[1]
- For example, a Genzo played before Freezing Trap would trigger upon attacking, and then be sent back to the hand by the trap.
- Genzo will not draw cards if it is neutralized as an attacker before its ability can activate.
- For example, a Genzo played after Freezing Trap would be returned to the hand upon attacking, before it could trigger.
- When this card attacks and is influenced by redirecting effects such as Mogor the Ogre or Mayor Noggenfogger it will trigger its ability twice, or more if stacked. This is likely due to the redirect effects 'restarting' the minion's attack process, and the resulting trigger may be a bug.

Usually note templates are only created when the card's note is intended to be recycled in multiple articles, so that when you edit this template, all notes of this card on every page will be updated simultaneously.
