Crackle lies between 
Lightning Bolt and Lava Burst in terms of direct spell burst damage, but the variance present in the card provides varying results. It is best used in combination with Spell Damage, to mitigate the random factor. Crackle is a key card in decks based around 
Genn Greymane or Malygos.
