Silencing/Adding Deathrattles to minions in hand

The Notes section includes a remark about "silencing a Deathrattle minion in your hand" (using Illidan Stromrage / Violet Teacher), and "adding a Deathrattle to a minion in your hand".
I am 99% sure that there is currently no way to silence ANY minion in your hand, nor to give them deathrattles. We can buff the stats of minions in hand, increase or decrease cost of minions (and other cards) in hand - but nothing else. And most definitely not by using Illidan or Violet Teacher, both minions that have the effect of summoning minions on board.
Unfortunately, the footnote in this section only mentions that this was tested by culinko on June 15, 2016; there is no link to a recording that I can go watch to see what this user witnessed that resulted in this inclusion. However, I am very tempted to (in spite of the reference footnote) remove this note.

I remember seeing videos where it was a bug, that cards in the hand could become silenced, meaning that they had the red X on their card text. Aegonostic (talk) 19:59, 20 May 2017 (UTC)

Hi BugHugger and Aegonostic, the procedure used to affect minions in hand is the same one seen in videos like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCKhbmHNLAs . You have to use Illidan Stormrage or Violet Teacher, plus Knife Juggler, plus an Explosive Sheep, plus an Anub'ar Ambusher, all to bounce the targeted minion (by the spell or Battlecry) to the hand before the spell/Battlecry resolves on its target (now in the hand). --Patashu (talk) 23:29, 20 May 2017 (UTC)

This is extremely non-obvious to the vast majority of Hearthstone players. It should always be accompanied by a descriptive reference or video when mentioned in notes, lest it cause confusion. Ideally, the details would be included on relevant rules pages like Silence and hand. - jerodast (talk) 04:50, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
