Notes

To edit these notes, go to Template:Justicar Trueheart notes.

  • This card's Battlecry replaces the current basic Hero Power with the corresponding upgraded Hero Power (see Player Hero Powers for details). In particular:
  • This card's effect only replaces one of the 11 basic Hero Powers.[1] If the player has an alternative Hero Power or already has an upgraded Hero Power, this card will have no effect.[2]
  • This effect will replace a basic Hero Power with its upgraded version even if it was not the Hero Power the player started the game with.
  • Replacing a Hero Power will refresh it, allowing the new Hero Power to be used on that same turn if mana allows.
Example: A player with enough mana can use a basic Hero Power, play Justicar Trueheart and then use the upgraded Hero Power, all in one turn.[3]
  • If Justicar Trueheart is golden, the new Hero Power will also be golden.[4] If Justicar Trueheart is non-golden, the new Hero Power will be non-golden if the old one was non-golden (even if the hero itself is golden),[5] and will be golden if the old one was golden.

Lore

Warcraft Wiki icon.pngThis section uses content from the Warcraft Wiki.

Justicar Mariel Trueheart is a human quest giver and starts the primary quest chain for questers wishing to participate in the Argent Tournament. She can be found in the western portion of the Argent Tournament Grounds inside the Argent Pavilion. Before the Coliseum was constructed she originally was standing on the floor; she now stands guard mounted on top of an Argent Charger.

Trueheart also directs players to the pavilion to begin their journey as jousters for faction.

Patch changes

  • TOY Logo.pngPatch 29.0.0.195635 (2024-03-11):
    • Now costs 5 (Down from 6).
    • Now has 4 health (Up from 3).
  • Journey to Un'Goro logo.png Patch 8.0.4.18792 (2017-04-22):
    • (Assumed patch): Golden heroes used to always gain golden Hero Powers from Justicar Trueheart, even if Justicar Trueheart was not golden. This was an exception to the usual rules for golden Hero Powers, and it may have been because the card conceptually "upgrades" the Hero Power. Now, if the hero is golden by its Hero Power is not, non-golden Justicar Trueheart gives a non-golden upgraded Hero Power[6]
  • The Grand Tournament logo.png Patch 3.0.0.9786 (2015-08-18):
    • Added.
