Lists[edit source]

Regarding your recent edits to the card list templates, I'm fine with the changes to list uncollectible cards separately. There's always a risk of ending up with a huge number of subsections, but I think it's fine at present and even if it gets a bit crazy it will probably still be clearer than having the uncollectible ones mixed in! I've fixed the template coding itself though so we can still see upcoming cards, and also to reduce load time.

I'm not in agreement regarding removing Hero Powers from listings; I get that it might feel a little odd listing them alongside actual cards, but in practice it feels more wrong to me for them to be missing from the lists. Many are key examples of their function, for example  Lesser Heal is one of the main sources/arguably the main source of healing in the game, likewise for  Armor Up! for Armor, and  Life Tap for card draw; not showing Armor Up! when listing ways to gain Armor feels wrong, and is especially less clear for new players. I'm open to discussion, though.

Also I saw your note at the top of this page; wikis normally use talk pages for discussion (that's what they're there for!) and I'm not sure the profile is really suited for more than brief notes, so I've posted this here - hope that's alright! -- Taohinton (talk) 20:54, 15 August 2016 (UTC)

You are right that they shouldn't be removed from the page, but maybe a section "Hero Powers" is better, because it looks a bit odd that they are in the list of cards. :)
And I should indeed mention my talk page instead of my profile page. --JordiTK (talk) 10:02, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
Sorry for the delay, I wanted to give this some thought. You're right, it is a bit odd since the sections themselves almost all say "cards". The problem is in order to make the lists list Hero Powers separately we'd have to add this behaviour into the main templates, which means any time a card list on the wiki is loaded it will have to do an additional, separate search for Hero Powers. Given that Hero Powers are only listed on about 6 pages (while the list templates are used on hundreds) I'm hesitant to double the number of queries like this; it feels like a pretty messy solution. After testing out the layout, the additional subsections also highlight the Hero Powers quite a lot, which in a way feels even odder than having them mixed in! I'm not sure there's an ideal solution. -- Taohinton (talk) 04:07, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
