Template:Kobold Sandtrooper strategy
Kobold Sandtrooper is like a middle stage between 
Leper Gnome and the Wild-exclusive 
Backstreet Leper, but its Deathrattle deals 1 additional damage. While its attack is lower than Backstreet Leper, it costs less and can deal even more damage if its Deathrattle is triggered multiple times via cards like 
Reincarnate or 
Play Dead. Using 
Necrium Vial on it is equivalent to a Fireball to your opponent's face. Overall, it is an easy way to take away a tenth of the enemy's health in the early stages of the match akin to Wolfrider, but it is even more effective to chain its Deathrattle effect for more damage.
Using 
Spiritsinger Umbra allows you to guarantee to deal 3 damage to the enemy hero essentially for free or Necromechanic/Baron Rivendare to deal 6 damage to enemy hero.
It is a great target for Rush generating effects as it is always provides damage to the enemy hero especially for aggro decks.
