Template:Golden Monkey strategy

The Golden Monkey's Battlecry can turn a game around. Be careful when you play it though, since the later you play it the fewer cards you have to be replaced by minions, so the earlier the better. Legendaries usually have quite powerful abilities, and only a few are terrible, so it is very likely that this card will tip the balance in your favour, assuming you were about evenly matched with your opponent before. However keep in mind that this will convert all of the cards in your deck and hand into legendary minions, so you will not be left with any removal options other than minions like  Deathwing and  Baron Geddon. If you do not have board control when you play the Monkey, you may find it hard to make use of your new legendaries before you lose.

Battlecry aside, the Golden Monkey is also a solid Taunt minion, capable of taking and dealing a good amount of damage. The mana cost of the minion itself is exceptionally low, but when the cost of the preceding card is taken into account, provides mediocre value.
