Template:Fire Fly strategy

This minion works well for Elemental decks, allowing you to trigger your Elemental-related effects twice with a single card. It's an okay early game minion, but it can be useful later in the game to quickly and cheaply trigger effects. It works very well with Ozruk in particular, granting him a +10 health buff for two mana.

Outside of Elemental decks, both Fire Fly and Igneous Elemental work well in a The Caverns Below deck, since the Flame Elemental from both minions count towards quest completion as one minion. The same two minions may help a Lakkari Sacrifice deck by providing more low-impact discard targets. It is also commonly run in Token Druid, as it allows for consistent early game board flood that works very well with the deck's area of effect buffs.

At its very worst, this minion is a 2 mana 2/4 split between two bodies, similar to an unbuffed Echoing Ooze. As such, it is frequently run as a 1-drop even in decks without specific synergies for contesting the board early in the game.
