Although this card's stats and mana cost are abysmal compared to other, similar cards such as 
Tar Creeper or 
Wickerflame Burnbristle, this card works particularly well when buffed by effects such as 
Demonfire or 
Deathaxe Punisher. It can also function as an activator for two of Corpsetaker's keywords, although 
Zilliax usually works better for this purpose as it provides a third.
