Sellemental's value increases by a lot because other cards like Nomi and Lil' Rag benefit from you playing tons of Elementals in a row. Also, seeing that its main purpose is to be sold, you only lose 1 coin for a potential board-wide buff, and its low Tavern Tier means that there will almost always be a Sellemental in the pool for you to grab.
