How to fix Abilities?[edit source]

Should I add abilities to the card data page or use 'addabilities'? It says 'Edits made to these pages will not be preserved.' so does it mean it's broken forever?

How do I fix e.g. descriptions? -- Karol007 (talk) 19:51, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

Most abilities, including all non-keyword abilities, are usually better added through the page itself. This is because if we import or re-import data for those cards, those abilities will likely be lost. It's also more convenient.
You seem to have handled the correction alright? Again, these errors are sometimes included in the data when it's imported. -- Taohinton (talk) 18:36, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
Do you mean I should periodically check whether [1] has been reverted by an import? Does upstream care about such issues? -- Karol007 (talk) 21:10, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
Imports these days don't overwrite existing data pages, so that should be fine, although it's always possible. The point is mostly to do with making new cards, as with the TGT ones at present. For such cards, making the additions through the content page themselves means we don't have to do it all over again when the data gets imported. -- Taohinton (talk) 02:44, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
How can I fix the card text in the content page? It's trivial to do it in the card data page, but is there a way to fix it in the wiki article? Something like 'addabilities' but for the description. -- Karol007 (talk) 14:14, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
Nope. Parameters like |addabilities and |tags only append data anyway; to edit existing data you have to do it via the data page. -- Taohinton (talk) 14:23, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
