Generate effect or Put into battlefield effect?

Is Silverware Golem's on-discard effect a "Generate effect" or a "Put (from the hand?) into battlefield effect"? I am not sure the difference can be told, and definitely have no idea about how to do it. Elekim (talk) 06:09, 13 September 2016 (UTC)

Judging by videos like this I would say it's simply a summon effect. It seems to complete the discard animation normally, which suggests the original card is being discarded rather than moved into the battlefield. The minion could be being brought back from the graveyard, or it could simply summon a fresh copy; given the behaviour of most cards I'd say the latter is more likely. -- Taohinton (talk) 19:38, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
