'Resurrect' card tag[edit source]

I thought I'd add a tag to group together the several cards that re-summon minions that died earlier in the game, so I just called it 'Resurrect.' Didn't really realize that clicking the tag would bring the user to this page, so I'll probably need to re-think the wording of the tag. Ambignostic (talk) 20:56, 4 October 2016 (UTC)

Agreed, and 'Resurrection' is decent. Meanwhile there isn't really much point in having a tag without a page, but hopefully one will happen before too long xD
In terms of the concept, I think it might be better to leave out Redemption. Resurrect/Anyfin/N'Zoth/Onyx Bishop all have a very similar function: they check the pool of friendly minions that have died that game, and summon somewhat random copies of minions found there. Redemption on the other hand specifically summons the minion that just died. If we limited the tag to the former we could put all the info about how these types of effects work there, which would make sense and save trouble in future - note how Onyx Bishop currently just redirects to Resurrect for info on how it works: we could redirect to Resurrection instead. -- Taohinton (talk) 03:47, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
Actually, scratch that - there is a general theme and it might be confusing to not include cards like Ancestral Spirit. I think we can combine both, and just delineate in the Notes. I've written up a draft; I'll post it when I get round to finishing it. -- Taohinton (talk) 14:27, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
OK, I've posted the article complete with fairly thorough notes and tagged the remaining cards. After consideration I changed the tag to 'Resurrection effect' - since it's not an ability but a type of effect, this fits convention and the card nav template. I also googled and 'Resurrection' is far more common than 'Resurrect' in terms of this meaning (and in association with 'Hearthstone' in general) so it seems best. -- Taohinton (talk) 15:38, 7 October 2016 (UTC)
Fantastic, I love what you've done here. Glad I can just kick a ball out on the field and you run with it! Ambignostic (talk) 20:01, 10 October 2016 (UTC)
