Knight of the Wild vs Summon Resolution Step[edit source]

Hi Elekim. As Knight of the Wild is a Summon Resolution Step trigger ( see http://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Advanced_rulebook#Summon_Resolution_Step ) it triggers on played minions after the On Play Phase resolves, and on summoned minions after the outermost Phase (in which they were summoned) resolves.

For transformed minions, the behaviour is interesting. Minions affected by a transformation effect don't participate in the Summon Resolution Step, but do participate in the Special Summon Resolution Step. Unless it's changed since it was last tested, there is a Special Summon Resolution Step at the end of the 'playing a minion' Sequence (which exists so self-transformers interact with SRS triggers, but also makes the targets of Recombobulator, etc. interact with SRS triggers, which might be a big) and after the Start of Turn Phase (which is probably a bug - makes Poultryizer trigger Starving Buzzard for example).

So Tinkmaster Overspark, Poultryizer, Master of Evolution, etc. should all have an interaction with Knight of the Wild, but Polymorph/Hex won't. --Patashu (talk) 13:13, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
