Mistake here?[edit source]

Curse of Naxxramas will feature five wings, made available over the course of five weeks. The first wing will be free, while the next four must be unlocked through spending gold or real money. The final wing will be unlocked upon completing all four other wings.

So do we pay for 4 wings, or 3? If there's 5 wings and the first and last are free. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.209.236.133 (talk • contribs) 05:08, 5 June 2014‎

It seems someone recently switched the 'three' to 'four'. They were probably trying to correct a perceived error, but actually the previous text was correct: the first is free, the next three must be purchased, and the last is unlocked by completing all the others. I've reverted the change - thanks for pointing it out :) -- Taohinton (talk) 21:35, 5 June 2014 (UTC)

Different set names[edit source]

What is the correct name for the set of cards, bosses etc.? Is it different for cards and bosses? Does it depend on whether these cards are collectible?

  1. Curse of Naxxramas, as in e.g. Necrotic Poison
  2. Naxxramas, as in e.g.  Spectral Spider
  3. Adventure, as in e.g.  Loatheb

I'd say whatever appears in the game interface wins out. When you filter by set, or select an adventure to play, it reads "Naxxramas". The full title of the product is "Curse of Naxxramas: A Hearthstone Adventure" but "Naxxramas" seems like the most reasonable conclusion for the set name.
There may be a difference between names used for collectible vs. uncollectible cards, especially in extracted game data. Personally I think if an uncollectible card came out in the same release as a collectible one, we should call it from the same set; distinguishing the two is the job of some other label. But that's just my opinion. - jerodast (talk) 03:18, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
The collectible set is definitely "Naxxramas", as shown in the screenshot at the top of Card set. The only question is what label we use for Boss stuff. I was going to say that "Curse of Naxxramas" was the more proper name, but checking in-game, the interface actually uses "Naxxramas" on all the related screens; "Curse of Naxxramas" only seems to be used in the front page graphic itself, as part of "Curse of Naxxramas: A Hearthstone Adventure". "Curse of Naxxramas" is still the fuller title, but since the game itself seems to label the adventure as "Naxxramas" (despite this probably being due to nothing more than space concerns) it's hard to argue against this.
Regardless, all Boss cards/Powers/Bosses should be set to that/"Blackrock Mountain"/"Tutorial" (rather than "Adventure", "Boss" or other labels). It's probably pretty inconsequential, but it will allow sorting if and when we want to do that. -- Taohinton (talk) 14:13, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
I can do that manually, but if there's an upstream source of this data, it should be edited upstream instead and re-imported here. Maybe somebody can write a bot to do the editing :-)
I'm still suffering from missing cards and missing boss' infoboxes and it would be nice to sort this out too. -- Karol007 (talk) 13:20, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
As discussed elsewhere, we won't be getting existing data overwritten by imports. Botting is a very appropriate solution, but I have no experience with that myself. -- Taohinton (talk) 00:24, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

What could fit the Themes section[edit source]

In every other page about Harthstone expasions and adventures exists a "Themes" section describing the dominant features of the added cards, both mechanical or lore-related. There are at least three themes for the Naxxramas cards too: Deathrattle (obvious), spiders (the first bunch of spider cards came in Hearthstone with this expansion) and nerubians (same as previous). Is there anything more? --83.220.236.8 11:12, 22 August 2015 (UTC)

Undead, I guess. Looks like we had less than 10 undead minions before Curse. Deathrattles aside, I would say there's also a theme of death in general, as shown through cards like  Kel'Thuzad,  Reincarnate, Vengeance,  Duplicate,  Poison Seeds, and even  Stalagg and  Feugen's relationship. -- Taohinton (talk) 22:10, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
