Across the Timeways is Hearthstone's 31st expansion, featuring 145 new collectible cards released on November 4, 2025.[1][2] In this expansion, players travel with Chromie through alternate realities to recruit Legendary Warcraft heroes.

Across the Timeways introduces two new keywords: Rewind and Fabled. Cards with Rewind can be replayed an additional time for a potentially different outcome. Legendary Fabled cards include 2 additional cards with them in players' decks during deckbuilding.

The Mini-set, Echoes of the Infinite, is also considered to be part of the Across the Timeways set, and all 38 cards were categorized as "New Cards" in Collection manager until the next major patch.

Themes[edit | edit source]

New Keyword: Rewind[edit | edit source]

Mister Clocksworth full.jpg
Time travel is coming to Hearthstone! Rewind is a new keyword that lets you replay cards with random effects for another shot at a better outcome. We've all had a spell go sideways or watched a minion’s effect miss the mark. Now, if a card has Rewind, you'll be offered the chance to rewrite history. Do you stick with what happened, or Rewind the timeline? The power to change RNG fate is in your hands.

New Keyword: Fabled[edit | edit source]

Ranger General Sylvanas full.jpg
Wield the powers of Warcraft icons from past, future, and alternate timelines! These storied heroes are so powerful, they bring extra Legendary cards with them that automatically slot into your deck. A Fabled Legendary arrives for every class, pulled from timelines both known and never seen before.
Ranger General Sylvanas rolls in with her sisters, Alleria and Vereesa, and she's looking... alive and well? That’s because this trio comes from a time before Arthas and the Scourge tore through Silvermoon City, so you get to unleash the full power of the Windrunner sisters in their prime!
Gelbin of Tomorrow preserved his mind with Holy magic and now pilots a giant mech in a futuristic Gnomeregan. He brings two Legendary Auras that pair well with these other new Paladin cards. Chronological Aura summons a dragon guardian every turn, and Manifested Timeways hits all enemies if you’ve got an Aura in play. Gelbin really gives Aura farming a whole new meaning.

Bend Time to Your Will[edit | edit source]

Timeway Warden full.jpg
Rewind and Fabled are just the beginning. Across the Timeways offers even more ways to control time itself! Timeway Warden imprisons an opposing minion for 10,000 turns (the average length of a Control Warrior mirror match) or until the Warden dies. It’d be a shame if the Warden were silenced...

Ally With the Protectors of the Timeways[edit | edit source]

Timelord Nozdormu full.jpg
And of course, what’s a time travel expansion without Timelord Nozdormu? As leader of the Bronze Dragonflight and Guardian of Time (not to mention Chromie’s boss), he’s at the center of this temporal catastrophe. Technically, he’s on both sides of it. You may already know he and Murozond are one and the same. (If you’re good at anagrams, you saw this coming a mile away.) Murozond is Nozdormu’s corrupted future self. Still, Nozdormu’s willingness to fight his future self reminds us that no matter how bad the future looks, no fate is inevitable.
In fact, the theme of duality runs throughout this set. Soldier of the Bronze and Soldier of the Infinite represent opposite sides of the time war, and their card designs mirror each other in several ways.
By the way, with time on the fritz, be sure to keep an eye out for any time-displaced cards that may not belong in this timeline...

Lore[edit | edit source]

The Sacred Hourglass and the timeways within the Temporal Conflux.

Across the Timeways features many "what-if" scenarios in the Warcraft universe.

Warcraft Wiki icon.pngThis section uses content from the Warcraft Wiki.
Alternate timelines (also referred to as alternate realities, alternate universes, or timeways) are alternate versions of the universe. There are an infinite number of separate alternate, possible timelines, creating the multiverse. Some are nearly identical, only differing in a few key events. Additionally, there are several methods of time travel that can alter the history of a universe's timeline. While there is an infinite number of timeways, according to  Aman'Thul of the Pantheon of Order, there is only "one true timeline", although some would have it otherwise, and without the truth of time as it is meant to unfold, the fabric of reality will unravel.
Bronze dragons exist to keep the main timeline inviolated and the order of events progressing as the fates intended. According to Prime Consort Soridormi, since there are trillions of trillions of trillions of timeways, all existing in parallel to the main timeline, the bronze dragons cannot maintain all these alternate realities. Instead, the bronze dragonflight keep Azeroth's timeway tidy and unbent, and the best they can do is straighten the timeways when they coil too closely into the main timeline. Fortunately for them, most timeways are not threatening, since they extend across dimensions that are distant from and askew to the main timeline, with no threat of ever crossing over. However, if this should happen, they must repair the Time Rifts.
