Template:Dragonkin Sorcerer notes

• This minion's triggered effect activates when the controlling player targets it with a spell. It will not activate from being targeted by an enemy spell.

• Random target or AoE spells will not activate it. Multi-target spells will only work if they specifically target the Sorcerer.

• Like all spell-triggered effects, the Dragonkin Sorcerer will trigger as the spell is cast, before it takes effect. This means that secrets Counterspell and Spellbender will not prevent the Sorcerer from being triggered. It also means that effects such as Divine Spirit and Reversing Switch will be applied after the Sorcerer's stats are buffed, and that the Sorcerer will not trigger from a hostile Shadow Madness.

• When targeted by a friendly Shadow Word: Pain, this minion's attack will increase to 4, out of range of Shadow Word: Pain's effect, but will still be destroyed.
