Strategy[edit | edit source]
Gnosh's 2-mana Hero Power is set to autocast, so don't expect it to play anything for the first two to three turns. In turn, do not expect any of your minions to survive during those turns unless you can summon multiple minions at once. The Hero Power also always goes after the highest power minion on the board, regardless of who controls it. Keep watch of the highest power among minions on the board and focus on playing minions with lower power. You can even manipulate some of Gnosh's minions, like killing the Devilsaur Egg so that Gnosh's Hero Power devours the 5/5 Devilsaur that spawns, or repeatedly damaging its Gurubashi Berserker so that it's stronger than anything else.
If Gnosh's Hero Power devours a minion with Poisonous, Gnosh dies immediately. It is possible to kill Gnosh on the first turn by playing a Pit Snake.

Lore[edit | edit source]
Gnosh the Greatworm is unique to hearthstone. He is a Worm. Rumor has Nash the Greatworm is merely its other end.
- Worms are invertebrate creatures. One type is a slithering, segmented beast with sometimes what appears to be a tiny pair of limbs near its face. Almost all worms are found inside cave-themed instances such as Maraudon or Ragefire Chasm, but a few types of tiny worms live inside zombies. Strangely, some species of worms are skinnable, while others are not. Worm pets and items (fishing) also exist.
