The Darkmoon Faire Treasure screen

Darkmoon Faire Treasures are a way of unlocking cosmetics in constructed Hearthstone.[1]

Darkmoon Faire Treasures were introduced in Patch 33.0.0.223542.

Functionality[edit | edit source]

  • When the player rolls for a reward, they have a chance to receive one of the 10 items shown on screen. The first roll of a particular Darkmoon Faire Treasure is free, but subsequent rolls will cost an increasing amount of Runestones.
  • Duplicates of the rewards cannot be received. All 10 items will be obtained if the player purchases all 10 rolls.
  • Rarer items in the pool, such as pets, mythic hero skins, or diamond and signature legendary cards have lower odds to be pulled, while less valuable items have higher odds to be pulled.
  • Specific Darkmoon Faire Treasures are only available for a limited time. Every time a new Treasure is released, it will include new items.

Pricing[edit | edit source]

The first roll of a particular Darkmoon Faire Treasure is free, but subsequent rolls will cost an increasing amount of Runestones. Below is an example of how the pricing of a Darkmoon Faire Treasure may increase. Note that each Treasure can have different price totals, higher or lower than this amount.

Pull Runestone cost USD equivalent
1 Free Free
2 200 Runestone $2
3 400 Runestone $4
4 600 Runestone $6
5 1000 Runestone $10
6 1300 Runestone $13
7 1800 Runestone $18
8 2500 Runestone $25
9 3000 Runestone $30
10 5000 Runestone $50
Total 15800 Runestone $158

Probabilities[edit | edit source]

Darkmoon Faire Treasures use a weight system to determine the probability of each item being rewarded.[2] Each item has a predetermined weight. After an item is pulled, its weight becomes 0. The chance of receiving an individual item is calculated by dividing its weight by the total weight of all Treasures remaining, and then multiplying by 100.

The following table is an example of how weights can affect chances in a Darkmoon Faire Treasure:

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • When Darkmoon Faire Treasures were added into the game, their in-game data replaced all the data that was previously used by the Battle Bashes in Battlegrounds. This likely means that Battle Bashes were discontinued and won't appear again, even though no official announcement was made.
